Prezi
is a website created in 2009. It was designed to help people create exciting
presentations. It can be useful for companies, teachers, and students. I
personally love how interactive Prezi presentations are. I get excited when I
am doing research and find a Prezi on the topic I am searching because I enjoy
navigating through the presentation. I've used it in college, but I've yet to
incorporate it in my lessons. According to Peter Arcvai, Prezi's CEO &
Cofounder, "Prezi helps you organize your thoughts and deliver them in a
clearer way that really makes an impact on your audience and helps them reach
that 'ah-hah' moment faster."
While exploring Prezi, I was able to
play around with the features you can use when creating a presentation. I feel
like college lectures/presentations, business presentations, and school
professional development presentations will benefit from using Prezi. It may be
hard for students younger than middle school to use though, so I wouldn’t suggest
it to my 3rd graders. I do think they’d enjoy lessons using Prezi as
it is something different than what they are used to seeing.
Ultimately, I think it’s a great
presentation tool. I hope to use it more over the course of my graduate degree
program. I appreciate the fact that it is free. Prezi also allows you to
utilize their app (all you would have to do is download it to your device).
While using the app, you can download your presentations so that you can
present without relying on the internet. I’ve yet to download the app, but I
might do so soon on my work laptop because of how much I enjoy using the website.
