Internet Tools Exploration Review- TeacherTube

Image result for teachertube

TeacherTube is an online community for sharing instructional videos. Launched in 2007, it was created for teachers, students, and home learners. Teachers can also use it to upload their videos to help students learn a new concept or skill. TeacherTube is designed for uploading videos, but members are also encouraged to post constructive comments and use the video rating tools provided.

I searched for Multiplication videos and was able to get websites for multiplication games as well. It looked like a Google search engine though, so I don't see it as kid friendly. I can see myself using this resource to find additional resources like websites though. I did not find any Math videos I enjoyed, but I found some other videos I liked while I was browsing. Because of the holiday season, I enjoyed seeing teachers post songs their students sang and stories they read out loud. I always enjoy seeing teachers teach their lessons. Every teacher is different and I am inspired when I see different ways something can be taught.
As I further explored this website, it seemed very busy. I couldn't get rid of all of the ads, which could be a distraction to children. I love finding videos for 3rd Grade content. Ultimately, I enjoyed this resource and would use it to find additional resources for my lessons. I wouldn’t recommend it to my students or parents, but may suggest it to my coworkers to use to supplement their lessons.
